Arik Benado started his professional football career playing for Maccabi Haifa at the age of twenty. The following year he moved to Betar Jerusalem, where he spent two seasons playing for this major Israeli football outfit. After two seasons playing for Beitar, he moved back to Maccabi Haifa, spending a total of ten more seasons at the club, between 1996- 2006. He helped Haifa win the Israeli league title on five occasions. He is one of Israel’s finest ever defenders and to this day he has appeared on 89 occasions for his nation, making him Israel’s most capped football player of all time.
Nir Klinger

Klinger began his career playing for Maccabi Haifa at the age of 18. It only took him three seasons to earn a place in the national team, making his debut in 1987 in a 1-1 draw against Northern Ireland. He soon became a permanent fixture for the national team, scoring his first goal for Israel in February 1989, in a 3-3 draw against Wales. He spent six seasons playing for Maccabi Haifa, winning 2 league titles with them and two domestic cup competitions. He moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv in 1990 and made a huge impact at the club through out his playing days there. He won 3 league titles and two Israeli cups with the club.
In total, Nir Klinger’s career for the national side spanned ten years (1987-1997), making a staggering 83 appearances. He was Israel’s captain for five years, between 1992-1997.

Mizrahi has certainly had an action packed career, in total; he has played for nine different clubs, eight of which have been Israeli. He has played for Bnei Yehuda, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Maccabi Haifa, Maccabi Tel Aviv, OGC Nice (France), Beitar Jerusalem, Hapoel Kfar Saba, Maccabi Ahi Natzrat and Hapoel Beer Sheva. In his career playing football, he has averaged around one goal every other match. To this day he is the leading goal scorer in Israel’s premier league history with over 210 goals cored during his career. His finest season was the 1993-94 season as he scored an astonishing 28 league goals for Maccabi Haifa, another record he holds of most goals in the premier league in a single season. He has an average with Israel national team of scoring one goal in every other match as he has netted 17 goals in 38 appearances. |
